Currentnaija Jobs

About us

Clear, sourced guides for Nigerians planning to work and live abroad.

Last updated October 2, 2026

Moving abroad is one of the biggest decisions you can make, and the information around it is often confusing, out of date or written to sell you something. Currentnaija Jobs exists to fix that. We publish straight, plain-English guides for Nigerians on work visas, permanent residence, jobs abroad, salaries and the real cost of living, and we link every important claim back to the official source.

What we cover

  • Canada: city-by-city guides to living and working there, Express Entry, provincial nominee programs and every other route to permanent residence.
  • USA: H-1B, employment green cards, the DV lottery (and why Nigerians can't enter it), and the practical side of landing.
  • Germany, the UK, the Netherlands and New Zealand: work visas, sponsored jobs, what jobs really pay and what life really costs.

Our principles

  1. Official sources first. We build every guide from government websites, legislation and official guidance, and we list those sources at the end of the article.
  2. Dates you can trust. Every guide shows when it was published and when it was last updated. When rules change, we revise the guide and change the date.
  3. No hype and no guarantees. Nobody can promise you a visa, a job or an approval, and we never will.
  4. Independence. Advertisers do not influence what we write. Ads on the Site are clearly separate from our guides.

What we are not

Currentnaija Jobs is an independent publication. We are not a law firm, an immigration consultancy or a government agency, and we are not affiliated with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), USCIS, the US Department of State, UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI), the German Federal Foreign Office, the Dutch IND, Immigration New Zealand or any other government body. Our guides are general information, not advice about your personal circumstances. For that, speak to a licensed immigration lawyer or a regulated adviser.
